History:

Deep in the Sagolii desert of Southern Thanalan resides a Mole tribe of infamous renown. A moderately sized group of brutes, thieves and raiders. Rumor says that the Nunh of this tribe, be it boon or curse, is only capable of siring male Miqo'te which has lead to a disproportionate number of tias all of whom are the very peak of physical strength and tenacity. All, that is, except for one.
Ki's mother, Teagi, gave birth to only one male; smaller and far weaker than his brothers, the somewhat effeminate boy was considered a blemish on the reputation of his ruthless tribe. Deemed poor stock Teagi was no longer allowed to birth any more children but with a newborn in her arms felt it better to tough out the social ostracization in favor of keeping her child safe amongst the tribe. Ki grew up amongst his brothers and "family" receiving much the same scorn his mother did, though she could never pull herself to blame him for their misfortune. She imparted upon him her kindness and hunting ability and he did his best to prove to his tribe that he was just as capable as they were. Fighting tooth and nail with beast and brother alike to redeem his mother's honor.
For eighteen years he suffered countless indignities at the hands of his tribe until finally, with his mother's blessing, he fled. Snatching one of the stolen chocobo to ride across the desert in search of a better life.

Her words echo in his head like a mantra "You deserve only the best, my love."

The Gimmick

O'ki was created as an RP character first and foremost and so his growth is tied directly to his story. As a character he is unable to gain levels in any job without training, sparring or adventuring with another player who teaches or observes him. This applies to all jobs aside from gathering professions.
